Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

ZeroTools ("we", "us", "our platform") operates the website myzerotools.online. This Privacy Policy aims to clearly and transparently inform you how we handle information from visitors and users of our free online tools platform, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679) and applicable privacy laws. By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this document.

1. Data Controller

The data controller for personal data processed on this website is ZeroTools, operated by an individual based in Brazil. For any questions related to privacy or the processing of your personal data, please contact us at HelloZeroTools@outlook.com. We are committed to responding to all requests within 15 business days, as required by applicable legislation.

2. No File or User Data Collection

ZeroTools is designed with a Privacy by Design architecture. All of our tools — including the Image Compressor, AI Background Remover, PDF Compressor, QR Code Generator, Password Generator, and all others — process your files and data entirely within your browser, using technologies such as HTML5 Canvas API, JavaScript FileReader API, and WebAssembly. Your files (images, PDFs, text, passwords) are never uploaded, transferred, or stored on our servers. We have no technical access to the content you process, and no data is transmitted over the internet during tool usage. All processing occurs locally on your device, ensuring absolute privacy.

3. Analytics Data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate usage patterns on our website. GA4 automatically collects anonymized, non-identifiable data including: browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, approximate location (city and country, without exact address), pages visited and session duration, and traffic source (organic search, social media, direct access). This data is processed by Google LLC in aggregate form and is not used to identify individual users. You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements through Google AdSense to keep ZeroTools free for all users. Google AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to display personalized ads based on your browsing history across various websites. Ads are positioned so as not to interfere with tool usage. You can manage your personalized ad preferences or disable them entirely at Google Ads Settings. For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites, visit Google Privacy Policies.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

ZeroTools does not set first-party cookies for user tracking. The only cookies present on our site are set by third-party services: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid cookies — for traffic analysis) and Google AdSense (advertising cookies — for ad personalization). You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect ad display but will not impact the functionality of ZeroTools, as our tools do not depend on cookies to operate.

6. Your Rights as a Data Subject (GDPR)

In compliance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data: Right of Access — request information about what personal data we hold; Right to Rectification — request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; Right to Erasure (Deletion) — request the elimination of your personal data; Right to Data Portability — request the transfer of your data to another provider; Right to Object — object to the processing of your data for certain purposes; Right to Withdraw Consent — withdraw your consent at any time. Since ZeroTools does not collect or store personal data from processed files, most of these rights apply only to data collected by third-party cookies (Google Analytics and AdSense). To exercise any of these rights, send an email to HelloZeroTools@outlook.com.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

Data processing at ZeroTools is based on the following legal grounds: Consent — by using the site, you consent to the collection of analytical and advertising data; Legitimate Interest — we use aggregate analytical data to improve user experience and keep the site operational; Legal Obligation — we may process data when required by law or regulatory authority.

8. Data Retention and Storage

ZeroTools does not store files or personal data processed by the tools. Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained for a standard period of 14 months, in accordance with Google's retention policies. Google AdSense advertising cookies have variable expiration periods, generally between 30 days and 2 years, per Google's policies. No personal data is stored on our own servers.

9. Children's Privacy

ZeroTools is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or adolescents. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

The third-party services we use (Google Analytics and Google AdSense) are operated by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States. Analytics and advertising data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and Google's data protection commitments, in compliance with the GDPR.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with a new last updated date. We recommend that you review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information. Substantial changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.

12. Contact and Data Protection Officer (DPO)

For questions, requests, or complaints related to this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at HelloZeroTools@outlook.com. You also have the right to file a complaint with a Data Protection Authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection legislation.
